Red Wagon

Today, I went to Red Wagon with Es S. We’ve been wanting to go here for some time now since we live so close, but we never found the time to.

When we first arrived, it was raining REALLY hard outside

The interior of Red Wagon is diner like, sort of reminds me of my uncle’s restaurant.

Here is Es S with the menu 😀

Es S

I ordered The Truckers ($11.25)- 2 eggs any style, 2 buttermilk pancakes, homefries, choice of bacon or sausage, toast. I got it with brown toast, sausage and my eggs over easy.

The trucker

This was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the homefries, but the pancakes were  a bit greasy, probably from the griddle. This was a lot of food, I didn’t finish it all.

Es S ordered Pulled Pork ( $10.25)- Portuguese bun served with coleslaw, fries

Pulled Pork

This was very messy to eat. Es S thought it was good; nice spice, but not too spicy. She thought it was a bit too sour, she thought creamy coleslaw would have worked better with this sandwich. The fries were nice and crispy.

Our bill came to around $25. I like how they gave us gummy candy with the bill 🙂

Overall, we like Red Wagon. The staff was very friendly and engaging.

Here is a picture of the weather after we finished eating

Sunny! WTF is wrong with Vancouver’s weather? It’s so bipolar LOL.
