Es S had a voucher for Fray, so I gladly accepted her invitation for some eating. According to their website, Fray is a” community eatery focusing on local, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, creative comfort food, ice cold microbrew beer, delicious mixed drinks, and desserts that will make you swear internally.”
We started off with some appetizers:
Our first appetizer to arrive was the rosemary chips– a bowl of house-cut lightly fried potatoe and taro chips. I really wanted to like this, but it was way too salty and I couldn’t detect any rosemary taste. I overheard the table beside us complaining about the saltiness too, so if you order this, ask for it unsalted and add your own salt.
Our second appetizer was the portobello fries– a jenga stack of lightly fried breaded mushroom strip with truffle aioli. This is their signature dish, and it definitely did not disappoint! The meaty strips of breaded mushrooms were so delicious and cooked perfectly. A must try at Fray!
