Got Craft? Spring Edition

Over the weekend, I had an opportunity to check out Got Craft? Spring Edition with my cousin and her friend. On the Saturday afternoon we visited, it was bustling with people and overall, I had a good experience. Here are some highlights from the market and read until the end of the post to find out what I bought!

Recent Aldo Accessories Purchase

Just wanted to share some accessories I bought from Aldo Accessories and my experience with it..

I bought a studded bracelet (which came in a pack of 2) and a cross knuckle ring. Having chubby fingers, I have a hard time finding knuckle rings that fit me, but I was ecstatic when I found this one with an adjustable band. Having said that, right as I was about to take it out of the packaging and wear it, the ring broke. This has happened to me before with a ring from Aldo, but for the price, I wasn’t expecting much. Nothing some glue can’t fix! I’m happy with the studded bracelets though, I’ve been searching everywhere for something similar.

Main Street Car Free Day

On father’s day this past weekend, car free day was being held on Main Street, Denman Street and Commercial Drive. I decided to check out the Main Street one since my dad’s workshop is on Main and he was working that day. I met up with S.A.W and we walked around to see what there was.

The weather forecast called for rain that day, but luckily it only rained a bit in the morning and the skies cleared up a bit. There were vendors selling mostly food, clothes or accessories; most of them local and from the shops on Main Street.

{This stall had some nice jewelry}

There were also a lot of cute dogs, I got distracted by all the cuteness!

{The puppy on the right reminded me of Yuki when she was a puppy. It kept jumping on the black dog and started biting it’s ears LOL}

S.A.W and I decided to share 7 pieces of takoyaki. These were filled with shrimp and squid as opposed to octopus and topped off with nori and bonito flakes. These were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but we would have liked less sauce and more mayo, but I still thought they tasted good and most importantly they were cooked all the way through.

Friday Is Forever

I haven’t done anything on a Friday for a while! For the past month and a half, my Fridays consist of studying, but I finally got a mini break today. So M and I decided we wanted to watch a movie and decided on The Descendants.

Before our movie, we went to ShuRaku for lunch:

I also did some shopping before the movie….

States Purchases

Here are the things I purchased last Thursday after my trip down the border. I went to Lynwood Washington to go Nordstrom Rack, Alderwood Mall and Target. These 3 are my favourite places to go when my family makes a trip down there.

I mostly bought accesories and makeup, didn’t end up with too many clothes like I usually do. I apologize for the bad lighting in the photos, like I said before my house has horrible lighting and I’m not that good with the camera. I’ll start off with the clothing:

A crochet kimono sweater from Urban Outfitters. This was on sale for $29.99 and they were having an additional 20% off so this ended up to be $22 something. I plan on wearing this in the summer with a dress.

A Lush Peter Pan collar shirt with lace back (19.99) from Nordstrom Racks
